Students who wish to get admission in Sainik / Military and Navodaya Schools in class 6 th and 9 th , can take admission in the school as limited seats are available in boarding. The school provides best hostel facilities to the boarders. We also provide special coaching to clear the entrance examinations of the respective schools. Parents are requested to fill in the Registration Form that can be obtained from the school. The information from the above is used to see if the child meets the admission criteria Parents are invited to fill out the Admission Form and all other necessary documents, including Medical History form and Acquaintance Form in order to complete the admission process. The filled Admission Form is required to be submitted at the respective rips office, where admission is required. Please ensure that the Required Documents are brought to the school during admission. Admission policy in Sainik and Military School Admission is based on an entrance test comprising Mathematics, Language and Intelligence of 100 marks in each for Class VI; Mathematics(200), Science(75), English(100) and Social Science(75) for Class IX, followed by Interview and medical examination. The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Class VI will be held in December) The Exam will be automated OMR based in subjects of Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English of Class V Standard. Sainik Schools admit boys in classes VI & IX on the basis of their merit in the Entrance Examination and an Interview and in Class XI boys are admitted on the basis of the marks scored in Class X Board examination.
Age Criteria Boys seeking admission in Class VI should be 10-12 yrs of age and for Class IX they should be aged 13-15 yrs as on 01 April in the year admission is being sought. Only boys between 10 to 12 years of age for Class VI and Boys between 13 to 15 years of age for class IX of age as on 01 April othe academic year are eligible for admission. Six months relaxation in upper age limit is permissible for the wars of personnel killed in action.

Reserve Seats 67% seats are reserved for boys of the State where the school is located. The balance 33% seats are open to boys from all other States and UTs. Within this broad classification, 25% seats are reserved for sons of service personnel including ex-servicemen while 15% seats are reserved for SC and 7½% for ST candidates. (a) 70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army , Navy and AF ( including Exservicemen)
(b) 30% for wards of Officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired Officers) and wards of civilians.
(c) 50 seats are reserved for wards of service personnel Killed in Action. Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST in all categories.
Candidates should have passed Class V for Cass VI from a govt/recognized school before the date of admission to a Rashtriya military school. However, a student studying in Class V is eligible to appear in the respective Entrance Test. In Navodaya Schools A candidate seeking admission must be between the age group 9-13 years on Ist May of the year of admission for which the Selection Test is conducted.
A candidate must have studied and passed Class III, IV &V from recognized school/schools in the preceding three continuous academic sessions for which the Selection Test is conducted spending one full academic session in each Class through the formal system of education, without any repetition of Class, gap and/or break in attendance.
A candidate who is not promoted to Class-V before November of the preceding academic year of which the test conducted is not eligible to apply.
No candidate is allowed to appear in the selection test for the second time under any circumstances.
A candidate seeking admission under the rural quota must have studied and passed III, IV & V from recognized school(s) located in the rural areas.

Reserve Seats At least 75% of the seats in a district are filled by candidates selected from rural areas and remaining seats are filled from the urban areas of the districts. A candidate who has studied in a school located in a urban area, even for a part of a session in any of the Classes III, IV and V or passes any or more of these Classes from such a school as above is considered as an urban candidate. Urban areas are those, which are so defined in the 19991 census or in a subsequent Government notification. All other areas are considered as rural. Reservation of seats in favour of children belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is provided in proportion to the population in the concerned district provided that in no district, such reservation will be less than the national average (15% for SC and 7.5% for ST) but subject to a maximum of 50% for both the categories (SC & ST) taken together. These reservations are interchangeable and over and above the candidates selected under open merit. Three percent of seats are reserved for disabled children also. Efforts are made to ensure that one-third of the total seats are filled up by girls.
